Guinness World Records holds the record for the largest ballpoint pen in the world. The credit of this record has gone to Acharya Makunari Srinivas of India. He has also engraved scenes from Indian mythology on this pen. It is the world's largest ballpoint pen which is 5.5 meters i.e. 18.53 feet long and weighs 37.23 kg. It is 38 times bigger than a common ballpoint pen.
Guinness World Records has also shared the video of this pen on its Instagram page.
This pen was measured on April 24, 2011 in Hyderabad, South India.
It is noteworthy that the ballpoint pen was invented by Ladyslaw Jose Biro who was born on September 29, 1899.
Speaking on the occasion of this record, Acharya, the creator of the pen, said that when I was young, my mother used to give me a pen to write. I used to use that pen to imagine that one day I would design the most bizarre pen in the world.
Describing the specialty of the pen, Acharya said that this pen is made of bronze and 9 types of Indian dance and musical instruments have been engraved in it.
